This is a very good quality upright piano made c1995 by the Young Chang company in South Korea. Young Chang have made pianos for Yamaha and Steinway, among other many other big name brands and are highly regarded. Their pianos use high quality parts such as Royal George felts and Roslau strings, yet offer incredibly good value for money. They are almost as good as their Yamaha equivalents (sometimes better in fact!) and at around 2/3 of the price. 
 

Fully checked and serviced, re-polished, tuned to concert pitch and carefully regulated, this is a lovely looking and sounding piano - suitable for any level of player. It is similar in design to the Yamaha U1, just slightly shorter at 118cm tall.


Tone and tuning

This piano has a big, rich and rounded tone, fairly bright and a wide dynamic range. We will happily voice any pianos mellower on request. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440). Includes middle ‘mute’ pedal for much quieter practice.


Keyboard and action

The full size 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated to play smoothly across the whole keyboard with a very responsive medium weight action.


Hammers and strings

Hammers are in very good condition and have been refaced in our workshop. Strings in excellent condition throughout.


Sound board

Excellent condition, no cracks or splits.


Case

Stylish traditional case shape, in mahogany with high gloss lacquer. The top lid opens from the side, as on a grand piano - an unusual and stylish feature! In excellent condition - a couple of very small marks, but barely noticeable. We have repolished the whole case in our workshop. With its equally classic and contemporary look this piano would suit virtually any style of decor.
