We are very proud to present this beautifully restored Steinway & Sons model B grand piano, often described as ’the perfect piano'. At 7ft in length it is large enough to have the superb sound of a Steinway grand complete with its powerful bass, yet will comfortably fit within most homes. It looks and sounds incredible. 
 
 
Tone and tuning
 
Typically and timeless Steinway tone - exceptionally rich, crisp and clear throughout the registers, with very powerful bass. Very good sustain and large dynamic range. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440hz).
 
 
Hammers and strings 
 
Hammers were replaced by the previous owner and remain in excellent condition and the piano was restrung at the same time. 
 
 
Soundboard 
 
The original soundboard is in very good condition and has therefore been kept, preserving the soul of the instrument. Many refurbished older pianos are stripped of their soundboards. We believe the spruce used in top quality German pianos of this era was exceptional and that it is right to retain this wherever possible. 
 
 
Keys
 
The original ivories have been renovated and look stunning, whilst also keeping the character of a 100 year old piano. Registered with CITES certificate NZNKG17X. 
 
 
Action
 
The action has been fully renovated and plays superbly, with a medium weight - a delight to play.
 
 
Case
 
Classic design of case, newly restored and French polished - the authentic finish for this instrument. This is a superbly done sympathetic restoration, with some slight signs of age remaining. It looks absolutely stunning! A matching adjustable ‘concert’ stool is included in the price - as per pictures.
