This is a lovely looking and sounding baby grand piano, suitable for beginners to advanced players and has had very little use so far. Made in 1990 in South Korea by Samick, who are now the largest maker of musical instruments in the world, making guitars for Fender and pianos for many other reputable brands. Their pianos are of consistently very good quality and offer excellent value for money. These Reid-Sohn pianos are made for the UK market and are very popular with musicians as well as schools and colleges for their dependable quality, great tone and excellent value.


Tone and tuning

Very pleasant tone - well balanced between brightness and warmth with even sound throughout the registers - it is very satisfying to play. Plenty of dynamic range for a fairly small grand piano. Tuned to concert pitch prior to delivery(A=440). 


Keyboard and action

The full size 88 note keyboard is in excellent condition and the action has been regulated to play smoothly across the whole keyboard with a medium weight action, not too heavy and would suit beginners or more advanced pianists.


Hammers and strings

Hardly any wear in the hammers - it has certainly not been played heavily. The strings are as new.


Pedals

This piano has 3 pedals - Una corda / Soft - Sostenuto and Damper / Sustain. 


Sound board

Excellent as new condition.


Case

Stunning looking piano - walnut with high gloss polyester finish case. In great condition throughout - looks fantastic and would suits most styles of decor. There is some sun fading to the case which can be seen in the photos - this is only really noticeable with the lids fully down and is not seen when the lids are up, which would usually be the case. This is purely cosmetic and does not affect the functioning of the instrument in any way. The sun fading is reflected in the price of course - this is a lot of piano for the money! This model usually sells for over £4000!


Dimensions

140cm long (keyboard to end), 146cm wide. A fairly compact baby grand which would easily fit within most rooms.
