This is a very high quality piano, with powerful and rich tone and responsive touch - very impressive all round and ideal for any level of pianist. Kawai are Japan’s 2nd largest piano manufacturer after Yamaha, both companies make some superb pianos but the most recent innovations in design seem to be coming from Kawai and some musicians prefer the warmer tone of Kawai. The K series are very highly regarded, winning many prestigious awards. The K-3 is the precursor to the K-300 with only very slight differences in the cabinet design.
 
 
 
Tone and tuning
 
Lovely rich and warm tone, with a pleasant brightness and a large dynamic range - plenty of power for fortissimo passages! Excellent bass and the treble is clear and bell like. Nicely balanced tone throughout the registers. Includes 3rd / mute pedal Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).
 
 
Keyboard and action
 
The K-3 features Kawai's exclusive Millennium III Upright Action. Components made from ABS-Carbon are used in the action, which is lighter than traditional piano action components, yet none of the strength is sacrificed. This results in a fast and powerful action, and Kawai claims it gives more control and stability than wooden piano actions.
 
 
Hammers and strings
 
Internally this piano is in almost as new condition and has been played only very lightly (see photos).

As new condition.
 
 
Case
 
Stunning black gloss polyester lacquered case in excellent condition throughout - a stunning piano which will complement most styles of decor. Matching adjustable stool included in the sale. This piano has a soft close lid to prevent small fingers from being squashed.
