This is a high quality Japanese piano made in 1980 by Atlas, one of Japan’s smaller but very well regarded piano companies. This piano would suit any level of piano player from beginners up to professionals. It is of comparable size (and quality) to the renowned Yamaha U3 but at a much more affordable price point.
 
Tone and tuning
 
Big and rich tone and a large dynamic range. Excellent full bass and the treble is nice and clear with a sweet brightness. Tuned to concert pitch (A=440).
 
Keyboard and action
 
New key tops have been installed and look brilliant. Medium weight, very responsive action.
 
Hammers and strings
 
Not very much wear in the hammers, which have been refaced, as visible in the photos. Strings in excellent condition.
 
 
Sound board
 
Excellent condition spruce, no cracks, splits or ripples.
 
Case
 
Case resprayed - a lovely glossy black piano.
